The Explorer is a player that will take part in some of the other aspects of the game but is mostly focused on exploring the Virtual world.

They enjoy the sense of discovering new places, going all over the place and finding new areas .

Depending on the server, Player Killing is either enables or disabled. Killers depend on the server.

Some players enjoy killing monsters throughout the lands in order to progress through the game.

Some players enjoy killing other players and fair PvP.

While all players can choose to duel with each other, in battlegrounds open PvP is encouraged and fun.

With the Havok Engine in place, this adds a new element into the realism of killing players.

Like all MMOs, it is important for players to communicate and group together in order to progress through the game.

Although, some players get the biggest accomplishment and enjoyment out of just hanging around the major towns, going to an Inn and talking to people.

These players pursue any means in which they can have recognition throughout the world for something they have done or a world feat that they have accomplished.

This might involve leading a town raid, doing all of the dungeons and raids in the game, or getting all of the races, jobs and DNA in the game to max level.

Throughout the game, the player will have to customize their DNA system to ensure their own unique play-style.

In addition to the DNA system, you have a set amount of skills you can put into your battle skills. Depending on your skills, this will be a key factor in combat, both PvE and PvP.

Depending on what race you choose will also dictate the Possession Beast you will get.

Possession Beasts can be unlocked only through a 11 part quest chain.

You can get the quest chain at level 24, it spans 2 large areas, and ends in a level 35 dungeon.

With the help of a group, high level player, or a doppelganger (Shane) you may get your possession beast anywhere from level 26-30.

When you get your beast, it is sorta like a limit break from a FF game. Once your bar fills up, you get the ability for a set amount of time.

Nightmare Monsters

From 11pm to 2am the game changes to spawn unique monsters in specific areas. These monsters are much more powerful than regular monsters, and require great skill to kill.

These are usually requirements in a hard quest, or sought after for their rare drops.

Be cautious around these monsters because where one is, many will follow.

In Requiem Memento Mori, you can either join a guild or create one. This is available at level 50 at the cost of 1,000,000 in game dollars.

You can have friend lists, ignore lists and join parties on the go in order to help people with quests, or receive help yourself.

Community is important in Requiem in order to progress through the game and complete town raids or dungeons.

The physics engine Havok is used in earnest with this MMO.

By utilizing the ragdoll physics and adding dismemberment and decapitation, the designers have really pushed the envelope on horror based gameplay.

In addition to the physics engine, the main world follows realistic real-world elements when flying between waypoints, or walking down a hill. The player visibly slows down and watches their step.

Player advancement is accomplished through a good questing system, dynamic and fun dungeons, and a steep learning curve to the game.

By letting the player choose the path and job they want to make, the designers have given the player the ability to be very unique and distinct in their own way.

Narrative is an important part of the game. By telling the player details, information and direction in the game this enables for a more immersive and fulfilling game experience.

In conclusion, Requiem: Memento Mori is a fun and enjoyable horror based MMO.

The dynamic physics engine, possession beasts, and interesting story in the game allows for an immersive and great play experience.

However…there are still some balance issues between classes, and monsters, but some players look past this to enjoy the game experience.
