One vital part, which all instruments share, is hitting the correct note just at the right time. But this is hard and knowing whether or not one did well is hard to judge for a beginner. Having a teacher who gives you feedback is great, but is not feasible in many cases. Thus, you need to rely on your ears. “If it sounds good, it is good” is one of the most commonly used tactics. But does this really work if you are a beginner? We have developed an app that helps you learn the piano. In its current version it is tougher than most teachers would ever dare to be. Unless you are already really good at playing the piano, this can be frustrating. We want you to make it more beginner friendly. This means gamifying our app and tweaking the internals of the algorithms used. Requirements Good programming skills. The student(s) should be able to work independently on this topic! Interested? Millions of people around the world are trying to learn to play an instrument. One vitalpart, which all instruments share, is hitting the correct note just at the right time. But thisis hard and knowing whether or not one did well is hard to judge for a beginner. Having ateacher who gives you feedback is great, but is not feasible in many cases. We have developed an app that helps youlearn the piano. In its current version it istougher than most teachers would ever dare tobe.
