RDP MONTHLY MEETING REPORT 31st AUGUST 2018 GoToMeeting 09:00 – 11:00 Brasilia Time

Main decisions:

• The manuscript of the Thematic Report 01 was sent to translation already. We expect to have both English and Portuguese versions ready for the face-to-face meeting and a small number of copies will be printed.

• About the Issue Paper 01, the Editor’s first recommendations were addressed and the paper is now going through peer review.

• The Issue Paper 02 is already with the Editor for the first review, but the lead author is still improving content.

• The Panel agreed that the lead author needs to check translation and layout of both versions (English and Portuguese) before publication.

• Yolanda explained papers and recommendations are the essence of the Panel, so we need to provide the next drafts sooner and consider them as a priority. She requested Authors to propose earlier dates for delivery.

• IUCN informed a new selection process for a Comms person has started and interviews are scheduled for next week.

• The Panel agreed Renova should share with the Panel whenever there is a meeting or event with specialists that Panel members can attend.
