Brief summary of WoWWorld of Warcraft, often referred to as WoW, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game

(MMORPG) by Blizzard Entertainment. Complete Free Roaming.World of Warcraft takes place within the Warcraft world of Azeroth, approximately four years

after the events at the conclusion of Blizzard's previous Warcraft release, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.

Wow lets you play as a customised character, picking your own class and race at the beginning of the game, either Horde or Alliance. As you level up you can choose quests to do, activities to get you achievements, dungeons, trying to get good gear, joining guilds and trying to get a high status on your realm.

downloaded off the internet. One point that can often put people off playing is that it usually takes about a day to upload onto the computer.

Although you buy the game disc’s it then costs an extra £8.99 a month to play. Extra things like Changing of name, realm, faction, race will cost more money on top.

September 2001. Development of the game took roughly 4–5 years, and included extensive testing. The 3-D graphics in WoW use elements of the proprietary graphics engine originally used in Warcraft III.The game was designed to be an open environment where players are allowed to do what they please. Quests are optional and were designed to help guide players, allow character development, and to spread characters across different zones to try to avoid what developers called 'player collision’. The game interface allows players to customize appearance and controls, and to install add-ons and other modifications.

Bots have also been created which automatically play the game while your not at home. This can only be done for simple things like killing creatures or Battle Grounds where horde and alliance can verse each other.

Expansion Packs

• Since the release in 2004 there has been 2 other expansion packs. Following the first WoW game, Burning Crusades came out in early 2007 opening up more quests and bosses to fight and a bigger world. It also maximized the the highest level to 70. Late 2008 was then the release of Wrath Of The Lich King and Cataclysm was announced in 2009.
