Hospitals must sign Data Share Authorization form for access to their Energy to Care Accounts for individuals outside of their organization.

Launch of new dashboard revealed data integrity issues, participants will be hearing from Lindsey Brackett to clean up data.


FGI Update


Public Comment Review

• ASHE Task Force of 10 Individuals• AL Volunteers Included• Reviewed 1,095 Proposals• Coordinated an ASHE vote on all proposals

• Major Issues of Concern• Removal of ASHRAE 170 from FGI• Addition of Eye Wash and Emergency Shower Requirements• Specialty Areas within Emergency Departments• Inclusion of Inpatient Services within Outpatient Chapters• Expansion of Behavioral Health requirements throughout facilities


ENERGY TO CARE AWARDS AND THE CHAPTER CHALLENGE


Energy to Care Awards

• Energy to Care Awards applications will be posted on the Energy to Care website in January. All award applications have a firm deadline of April 1, 2020.

• Track eligibility on Dashboard home page.


New Process for the Challenge

• To be eligible to compete, the facilities must have complete energy data entered in Energy to Care for the year (4/1/18 thru 3/31/19).

• All energy data must be entered into the Energy to Care platform no later than June 30, 2020.

• Energy to Care participants can view their chapter rank on the Energy to Care Dashboard. Data will be updated on or around the 1st of each month.

• The Challenge will compare weather-normalized Source EUI between two, 12-month period, ending dates 3/31/19 and 3/31/20. The chapter that demonstrates the greatest percent-based reduction in weather normalized EUI across the two periods will be the winner.


ASHRAE Update


ASHRAE 170

• Addendum L – Open for Public Comment until 22 Dec• Continues the process of reorganizing the standard into three components

Hospital, Outpatient and Residential Health Care and Support in alignment with the FGI Guidelines

• Edits 5 Definitions• Incorporates Addendum a – filtration requirements into all sections• Incoportates Addendum p – unoccupied turndown into all sections• Revises space names to align with FGI
