How effective is the combination of your main

product and ancillary texts?

By Emily Joslin

My main products and ancillary products all have my magazine name/logo easily visible on them.

This helps the target audience establish and recognise the name of my magazine and it’s house style/image.

This provides continuity and consistency. This should lead to a preferred reading of my work.

Billboard Advert

Website

My model appears on my front cover and on my billboard. Having her on two of my pieces of work helps with the continuity

My billboard is effective as it shows readers the various ways they can read my magazine and where they can download it from. It also has a website address on it giving them another way to look at Inspire.

I used a similar, informal tone to everything I wrote in my main task and ancillary tasks. This adds to the continuity of my piece. It also helps readers create a Personal Relationship (uses and grats) with my magazine.
