Rug Features

BUSTER RANGE (Dual purpose - turnout or stable use) – These rugs have now been sold successfully for over 10 years and have built a reputation as the finest rugs in the world, which will fit most kinds of horse. This success has grown and has resulted in us developing a worldwide mail order company to satisfy demand, coupled with our affordable prices, these rugs and other products can be used and enjoyed worldwide. Our Buster range of rugs have many features, such as the elasticated shoulder gusset, elasticated “snug fit” neck cover, padded tail flap, deep cut, and the technology behind the scenes to create the perfect rug.

BUSTINO RANGE (Dual purpose - turnout or stable use) - This range has all the same fabulous features, cut and design as the Buster range, except the elasticated shoulder gusset has been omitted. We feel that there are a lot of different sized and shaped horses, and some do not need the elasticated shoulder gusset which has enabled us to make a quality rug but at a lower price point.

OUR MATERIALS – All our materials are specially made for us to meet our exacting standards and

specifications. Every batch of materials goes through our high quality controlled testing procedure, checking for waterproofness, breathability, strength and quality, before being cut and made into our horse rugs.

1680D BALLISTIC NYLON – A superior weight and strength for any turnout and the best for heavy duty winter rugs.

1680D NYLON – This is non-Ballistic but still a super weight and strength for heavy duty winter rugs.

1000D NYLON – This 1000D nylon is lighter than the above two materials but is still made to our highest specification and is more than up to the job.

Clip on Tail Strap for secureness and ease of use

• Note – All our turnouts and stable rugs with detachable neck covers have been fitted with our Trio attachments so that you can add and attach any of our different weight liners to your rugs.

Rug sizing - how to measure:Measure your horse from the centre of the chest to the furthest point of the hind quarters nearly to the tail, especially for turnouts.

Rug jargon: The letter D refers to the Denier of the rug fabric – the higher the denier the stronger the fabric. Ballistic Nylon and Nylon outer materials are amongst the most expensive, durable and best for turnout rugs. Rug weights (i.e. 450g) are expressed in grams – the higher the warmer.

Horse boots - how to measure:Measure the circumference of your horse’s leg to find out how much bone your horse has. Measure the front and hind legs, this helps us advise on the sizing of horse boots.

Cold water treatment offering tendon & fetlock support by our unique design of boot which is shaped to the horse’s leg & fetlock that will help to support and reduce typical after-workout swelling with the added benefit of the coldness from the boots. These cold water boots can be re-used time after time by soaking in a cold bucket of water.

Using the Cold Water Boots after exercise

After hard work the cold water boots should be applied for approx 20 minutes. For extra cold treatment place ice or ice packs in the bucket of water that they are being soaked in. The colder the water, the colder the boots. For a maximum cold effect you can place the cold water boots from the ice water in a bag and leave in the fridge for 1 hour, this will provide a 3-5 minutes initial blast of cold on the horses leg. Never freeze the cold water boots.

Using the Cold Water Boots for injury

The cold water boots should be applied at least 6-7 times a day and be on the horse’s leg no longer than 20 minutes.

Storage of the Cold Water Boots

If competing or using for injury over a couple of days the boots can be stored in the bucket of water. Once finished with the boots, they need to be hung up to dry out of direct sunlight. Once dry they can be stored away. When getting the boots back out to use, re soak them for 2 hours to reactivate.

The most glamorous of the teque-style breeches. High waisted for a flattering front fit and back support, the waist band is “V” shaped

front and back to contour the body perfectly. It features innovative “V” shaped belt loops which are subtly enhanced with 3 small diamante’s on each loop. Two loops on the front and two on the rear. Two front metal buttons and front “V” styled pocket flaps conceal a pocket on the right. Finished with the same 3 small diamante’s each side of the pocket, a large diamante popper at the bottom adds the finishing touch. The front pocket panel contours over the waist to the rear where it gently slopes down into its distinctive “V” to the base of the spine, supported with its diamante’s to enhance the contour.

The bottom of the breech where the long boots sit, are made of super comfy, stretchy nylon lycra. This also eliminates hard to fit breeches for those with a larger calf and eliminates chafing from Velcro fastenings.
