PHOTOSHOOT FOR ANCILLARY TASKS

Victim◦ There was many pictures and videos

captured of the victim in the re-enactments parts of the documentary.

◦ Maisy (the victim) is shows stereotypically as a un-expecting young girl (damsel in distress).

◦ Maisy in the first image adjacent would be a good one to use to sum up the entire documentary and how it was all about the obsession Toby fathomed for Maisy, and how an innocent girl did absolutely nothing to provoke the attack and now is helpless in a critical position in hospital.

◦ I believe the image paints a picture in its own right, and provides an entire story line for people to think about and read about.

Criminal◦ There was many pictures and

videos captured of the criminal in the documentary that could have been used as the main image on either of my ancillary tasks; Newspaper Advert or News Double Page Spread.

◦ I think using the criminal on my tasks would potentially be the best image to go for because it sums up the entire documentary in one shot.

Witness◦Using the witness was also an option

for either of my ancillary tasks.◦ If I didn’t use it as a main image I

would still consider using it as a sub image on the newspaper double page spread, as a supporting image.

◦ I believe a ‘distressed’ looking witness would give the documentary and its supporting tasks a ‘sob story’ feel to it, attracting audiences and making it easier for them to relate to.

News Crew

◦Using the news crew for either of my ancillary tasks was also an option.

◦ I thought the news crew would reinforce the entire feel of the documentary and emphasise the institution- JME Productions and Coventry Crackdown itself as something that could be a series like Crime Watch.

Police Officer- PC Jones◦ I also thought that using PC Jones as

the main image and vocal point for my documentary would be an option because it adds a serious element to it.

◦ It is already an extremely serious thing, but it is also very sad and instead of people thinking of how to get justice its more people feeling sorry the victim and her loved ones.

◦ PC Jones would act as a motivator for people to want to interact and help to get justice for Maisy.
