“I found boomerang throwing a bit of a challenge. It was very hard when the wind was blowing which made the boomerang not come back!” -Amy

IN THE MAILBOXThanks for Sebastopol resident Gayle for her recent letter to the City of Ballarat:“With the recent upgrades to intersections in Sebastopol and namely in Vickers Street the suburb was looking fresh and clean. The new grass was growing nicely and the cement curbing and islands were bright. It really looked good turning into Vickers Street until one day ‘hoons’ decided they wanted to upset us and drove across the new intersection and newly planted grass on the corner of Vickers and Beverin Streets.

What a mess and now so untidy! What could we do apart from being so cross? We rang the Council and they were out within a couple of days and filled in the deep ruts left by the tyres. The grass has not grown back yet but it will look clean and green again soon.

So we would like to thank the Council for the quick response to our request. Council can’t help us out if they are not informed.”

The Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre – Community Garden Extension, funded by $9,982 from the City of Ballarat Engaging Communities Program, is progressing with the following projects completed:
