Writing for the Journal

1. Authors need to register

2. Simple process of creating profile

3. Can also register as a reviewer at this stage or as just a reader

4. 5 Stage Process to Submit

Writing for the Journal: Stage 1

1. Author selects section for submission

2. Completes quality checklist reminding them of submission requirements.

3. Can send comments to editor.


1. Complete submission metadata form.

2. Gives basic information about the article.

1. Uploads supplementary files.


1. Confirms submission.

Editing the Journal

1. Editor Creates Issue

1. Editor logs in

2. Check for submissions.

3. Selects unassigned items and assigns section editor/editor

Editing the Journal 2

1. Editor/section editor assigns peer reviewers

Peer Review

1. Reviewer is emailed

2. Conducts review

3. Makes recommendation to editor.


1. Editor decides to accept

2. Sends email to author

3. Sends to copy editor.


1. Reviews copy edit status

2. Copy editor and author copy edit article

3. Send for proofreading and for galleys to be prepared


1. Editor reviews copy edit status (sorts copy edit)

2. Copy editor edits emails file for author to copy edit article

3. Copy edits again if required.

4. Sends completed article to Layout editor


1. Editor schedules publication.

2. Initiates Proof Reading

3. Initiates Layout edit by uploading Layout version of item.


1. Layout editor creates Galley as pdf,html and mp3.

2. Uploads them as files and assigns type.


1. Editor can move articles around in Section/Issue.

We Have an Issue

1. Journal is published when editor saves table of contents.

2. RSS/Atom feeds are automatically generated.
