This position will report to the VP of Marketing and work closely with the Director of Experience, Director of Product Strategy, and Director of Reporting and Analytics to design and implement highly effective rewards and gamification engagement programs to increase member activation, deepen member engagement, and build trusted, long-term member relationships. Sitting at the intersection of rewards, consumer loyalty, community & social media, and social gaming, gamification is transforming the way consumers engage with technology-driven programs like Novu. By applying the same principles that inspire people to play gamesachievements, status, and rewardsto Novus consumer experiences, we see a dramatic increase in our members engagement as measured by frequency, longevity, and relationship depth. As Novus Director of Rewards & Gamification you will take broad, theoretical ideas about how to incorporate gamification into the Novu member experience and turn them into actionable plans. The role requires an innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect rewards and gamification to all aspects of the member experience to create actionable ideas that bridge web, mobile, and digital media. The ideal candidate will be seen as both a strategy leader and a program manager, someone who can confidently ideate in real-time internally and with clients to address how rewards and gamification concepts and plans should manifest within the member experience. While you must be able to see the whole picture, youre excited to work to turn high-level concepts into descriptions and diagrams, taking complex ideas and situations and breaking them down into simple, concrete steps. A systems thinker who is able to see a project as the sum of its component parts and dependencies, your success depends on being able to move many concurrent projects forward. While youre always excited to create something new, youre passionate about discovering efficiencies, and take innovative elements of projects and turn them into repeatable, scalable solutions to improve our member experience. The Director of Rewards and Gamification role requires a background in rewards, member engagement, digital marketing, community & social media, loyalty program design, and project management. The Director of Rewards and Gamification is required to manage multiple, simultaneous programs and projects to advance Novus member experience and engagement through gamification and rewards strategies. They will shape and lead programs and projects from concept through implementation by leveraging their ability to: Understand and operate a robust rewards program within the highly regulated government healthcare segment, yet find creative ways to maximize innovation. Identify and implement a robust, low-cost array of merchandise, gift cards, national and local discounts, daily deals, auctions, sweepstakes, games and rewards solution that drive high engagement and a balanced earn and burn economy. Design member engagement and gamification programs that optimize use of the Badgeville Gamification Platform. The Director will become an expert on the Badgeville Platforms features and technical architecture to maximize Novus investments and result in a positive impact on the member experience.

Responsibilities: As Director of Rewards and Gamification you will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategies, plans, and tactical actions necessary to enhance Novus rewards and gamification programs to influence member behavior and develop lasting, trusted member relationships. Guide the development and implementation of creative assets across multiple channels including but not limited to: email, web, mobile, and community. Using key indicators and metrics, analyze effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide recommendations for enhancements. Incorporate input from cross-capability and -company stakeholders throughout the program and project lifecycles to assist in the development of website platform enhancements with emphasis on providing UX recommendations. Define project scope and apply a best practice methodology; standardize and manage project timelines and workloads to drive projects to launch. Partner with members of Novu marketing team to contribute to broader member communications efforts. Lead internal and external agency resources in support of the companys rewards and gamification efforts. Closely monitor success metrics of member engagement in conjunction with Reporting and Analytics. Consult with senior level decision makers to determine best approach in leveraging Badgeville product solutions. Conduct regular rewards and gamification program reviews with leadership and cross-functional team members focused on success metrics, and discuss opportunities to improve programming. Disseminate best practices and industry-specific advice regarding rewards, social/community, loyalty, gamification, and behavior lifecycle management to help drive greater program lift and ROI. Desired Skills and Experience 7+ years of proven experience in loyalty marketing, direct marketing, e-commerce marketing, or game design. Bachelors degree in marketing or communications required; MBA desired. Expert knowledge of behavior modification, motivational theory, rewards and recognition, and gamification strategies. Proven knowledge of best practices in customer engagement and member lifecycle programs spanning a wide variety of channels including email, print, web, mobile, community/social media. A strong understanding of digital strategy, design and development to effectively implement gamification within the Novu member experience. Understanding of how to develop and monitor key performance metrics to drive marketing campaign and program performance.
