First we drew a circle and appearing on the same center the shell and the cover. With these two pieces based on the same center of rotation we started thinking we could try to make a Sun visor between the two also based on the same center of rotation. In the same center of rotation we then realized that we could also add an external visor!

It was when we become aware we had come up with something really spectacular: in this same center of rotation we could mount all these mechanisms and pieces!

By creating the two bases around the same center, we also became conscious we could have more fresh airflow entering, and if it was a simple and functional system, the cover itself could be switched as an object of customization! – a feature extended to other parts such as the washers and screws!

Thus was born the “SWITX” concept, with this first model, the SWITX.10 which we internally gave the code name of “THE WHEEL”.

The new COOLING COVER TECH® is the most advanced helmet ventilation system ever designed for an Open Face helmet.

A unique differential pattern of assembly allows the COOLING COVER TECH® to act by the same rotation center of the shell, as a Wheel, incorporating two intake vents and three exhaust vents - all easily closed or opened by a single hand movement.

The two Intake vents placed on the helmet visor direct the cool airflow to massive channels cut into the interior of the helmet foam while removing the stagnant air, known to be the cause of visor fogging.

Simultaneously, secondary airflow is distributed by the top and sides where strategically placed holes help to distribute the cool air in a true 360 degree pattern with low pressure drop around the head.

Hot air is then channeled away using the 3 exhaust vents located on the rear of the helmet, regulating the core temperature and keep you feeling fresh all day.
