Tell Them From Me Survey Our year 4, 5 & 6 students are currently completing the Tell Them From Me Surveys. This survey gives us very valuable data about our students’ opinion about their school and their learning. These results help us to guide our planning. Later in the year students will complete another survey and at this time we also have access to the parent survey as well.

Stage 2 Sydney Excursion Stage 2 students need to return their notes and $50 deposit for our excursion to Sydney by this Friday. At this point in time we only have 30 responses. We need this information and your commitment so we can get our excursion organised. If your child is in Stage 2 and you have any questions please do not hesitate to speak to one of the Stage 2 teachers. Michelle Ballenden

Cross Country Our annual Cross Country fundraiser is scheduled for next Thursday 7th April. At 9.30am all primary students will leave the school and walk via Bowen Street down to Branxton Park. These students will compete in the 2km or 3km events, starting at 10.00am. Parents are welcome to come along to watch or walk with us to and from school. We hope to be finished by 11.30am. Any 8 year olds from Year 2, who are capable long distance runners, are also welcome to participate in the 2km events. If you are interested in allowing your Year 2 child to compete please speak to Mrs Ballenden. After recess, the K-2 students will have their event at school in the back playground. Parents are also welcome to attend. All students must wear their sports uniform and comfortable running shoes. They MUST have their school hat and plenty of water. Primary students will take their recess with them down to the park. If the warm weather conditions continue we would

appreciate some extra shade covers for our stu-

dents. Please bring them along on the day.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture are embedded within the Australian Curriculum. Throughout the year, there will be a number of opportunities for all of our students to be involved in cultural activities, If your child/children are of ASTI heritage, please notify the school so the students can !~be provided with these opportunities and activities. Personal Learning Plans for ASTI students During our recent Parent/Teacher interviews, your child’s teacher would have discussed the PLP for the student. Please take the time to complete the plans so that goals can be set for your child. Your child’s teacher will contact you in the near future to formalise the plan. Parent Teacher Interviews Thank you to all of our families who took the time to come and touch base with their child’s teacher. We believe this is a very valuable process. We are developing a review of this for our parents. A link for the survey will be emailed to you soon.
