ISN… is your own personalized journal of learning about science
A portfolio of your work all in one convenient location
A great ORGANIZATIONAL TOOL that gives you permission to be PLAYFUL AND CREATIVE in your responses without "messing up" your notes.
Why do they work?
Uses both left and right brain hemispheres to help you sort, categorize, remember and creatively interact with the new knowledge you are gaining.
Right Brain controls Left side

How will my ISN be graded?
END OF UNIT CHECK QUICK CHECK
Your ISN will be graded at the end of each unit using the rubric located in the back of your ISN
Once scored that number will be multiplied by 5.
So….. Each ISN check will be worth 30points
We will also have random “quick checks” for your ISN several times during each grading period
These are done by your peers and are worth 10 points
So…. Your ISN is roughly worth 100 points during each grading period
Notebook Rules…… Bring your ISN to class EVERYDAY No RIPPED OUT pages or torn pages Use this notebook for SCIENCE ONLY Be sure to DATE, TITLE and NUMBER each
