Whilst researching professional magazines in the process of making my own media product, I came across a few magazine publishers. Amongst them was one of my favourites, Bauer. If I could choose any media institution to publish my magazine, I would choose Bauer.

Bauer is only a division of the Bauer Media Group. It is Europe’s largest privately owned publishing group. The Group is a worldwide media empire offering over 300 magazines in 15 countries, as well as online, TV and radio stations.It is a multi-platform UK-based media group consisting of many companies collected around two main divisions:- Magazines- RadioBauer is widely recognised and rewarded as being industry innovators. Their business is built on influential media brands with millions of personal relationships with engaged readers and listeners.

Its group publishes many different magazines that are all professional and successful. In terms of magazines and radio, Bauer has a wide variation of genres. The magazines include:- Kerrang!- Mojo- QAll of those magazines I have researched throughout the production of my own media product and I have found that they are all really successful, meaning that they must also have a reliable publisher. Other magazines include:- Closer- Heat- Yours- GraziaAgain, these are all professional and successful magazines but focusing more on celebrity news.

Throughout the process of producing my own media product, I have looked at several media institutions. This was mainly when I was researching existing professional music magazines. I found that quite a few of the big names including, Kerrang!, Q and Mojo were actually published by Bauer. As a reader of Kerrang!, I feel that I would want Bauer to publish my media product as I have been heavily influenced by Kerrang! and it clearly is very successful.In terms of Bauer wanting to publish my media product, I think there would be a high chance of them doing so. I think they would distribute it as it’s fairly similar to Kerrang! and that is a very popular and successful rock music magazine. So in the end, I could possibly make a bit of profit for them too.

Conclusion…Conclusion…In conclusion, I definitely think that I would want Bauer, as Europe’s largest publishing group, to distribute my own media product. I think if Bauer was to publish my magazine, then it would definitely be successful and popular as I feel that it is a very reliable publishing group.

I also think it would be an appropriate publishing group as it offers magazines in over 15 countries, meaning my media product would be known not just in the United Kingdom, but all over Europe. This would mean that the audience for my magazine would increase as more rock music (and anything similar) lovers would purchase my magazine, providing me with more profit and then eventually benefitting Bauer.
