So, what does Jesus-like disciplemaking look like? We’re asked this question all the time by pastors and ministry leaders alike. Jesus-like disciplemaking differs from traditional 1-on-1 discipleship because it’s a way of life. It’s living relationally in mutual community with Kavanah through prayer, study, loving and C323 (Colossians 3:23) living. In true mutual community we share our gifting, practice “one anothering” and learn together in twos or threes (Matthew 18:20). With Kavanah we experience the catalytic combination of God’s active presence and our intentional actions. We expect the Holy Spirit will transform us when we gather together in mutual relationships for inflow & overflow. Through prayer, studying Scripture to know and share God, loving extravagantly, and living life as worship, together we make disciplemakers like Jesus did. On April 12 & 13, twenty-seven Arizonans from Grace Bible Church of Phoenix gathered with Scott and me to begin living in mutual community with Kavanah. They actively engaged in inflow and overflow as they dialogued in pairs and triplets.

TRAVERSE CITY, MISEPTEMBER 7

On April 20 & May 11, thirty-five Michiganders from Mayfair Bible Church gathered together with Scott and me to begin their Jesus-like disciplemaking journey in mutual community with Kavanah through the intentional practices of prayer, study, loving extravagantly, and living life as worship. Stay tuned as we share our journey “with” them in the days ahead. We invite and challenge you to journey “with” us in the simplicity of a Jesus-like disciplemaking way of life. Write us at [email protected] to learn more about living this way.

We can’t be MCMD missionaries of encouragement and equipping without friends like you who faithfully pray for us and generously support our ministry!

Thank you for every prayer you offer up to God and every dollar you sacrificially give. They allow us to financially provide for our families and ministry. We know we can't take any of this Jesus-like disciplemaking adventure without God and people who love us, pray for us, and give to MCMD. Those who partner with us make our ministry powerful and possible. Will you join our support team today? For more information about how you can partner with us, email me at [email protected] or call me at 517-230-3072.
