When you think of Artificial Intelligence, you can’t help but think of another fantasy
land where Ex Machina and The Matrix are taking over the world.
In reality, the term “Artificial Intelligence” comprises a vast and diverse ecosystem
of technologies that represent very powerful opportunities for your business
competitiveness!
Experts and professionals all agree: Artificial Intelligence is here to stay and will
transform every field in a company, and every industry will be profoundly affected.
Artificial Intelligence, which had its fair share of setbacks, is now ready to change the
world, thanks to the combination of extraordinary technological advances, the rise of
Big Data and the new opportunities created by the Internet of Things.
The figures of AI revenue for industries show how integrating AI will be a growth
driver for businesses.
Today, we are at a critical point in history. Everyone must step in, understand the key
benefits and issues of AI, and the mandatory changes that must take place in order
to bring intelligence to life. From cars, cities, homes, to work, even the marketing
department… Everything can and will be connected. The potential of the market is huge!
AI EUROPE is the premier European exhibition that will show you the value of AI for
your strategy, introduce you to your future partners and give you the keys to integrate
intelligence.

14:30 – 15:30 Cognitive Computing in the Real WorldAs we enter the ‘second machine age’, the hype around AI, cognitive computing and machine intelligence risks drowning out the very real benefits that are already being gained by early adopters.
This Masterclass will draw upon lessons learned from customers of Digital Reasoning who have provided cognitive computing solutions for over a decade. We’ll focus on the proven outcomes being gained by users in government, enterprise and healthcare, and the improvements to business performance, public safety and patient care.
Drawing from the lessons learned from these industries we’ll explain how the business case for cognitive computing and machine learning can be developed, how the technology planning should be done, and what kind of results should be expected over time. We’ll consider what happens when organizations use machines that ‘learn’ and how the business value delivered in each case emerges. The session will present real world experiences from pioneers in several fields that should equip attendees with the necessary information to take back to their organisations and help guide them through a cognitive project, helping them identify the right place to start from, and also how to set realistic and achievable expectations.
Delegates can expect to see demonstrations of a range of applications to help illustrate the potential use cases.CHRISTOPHER ROYLES, CLOUDERADAVID GILMORE, DIGITAL REASONING
16:00 – 17:00 Machine learning with humans in the loopThis session covers multiple topics in the combination of machine learning and human intelligence in production systems. These are resources that offer complementary advantages: machine learning enables rapid, automated classification of data, while human intelligence provides ceiling-level accuracy in the handling of edge cases and items the ML model is not confident about.
Here, we focus on two related strategies for incorporating human intelligence in the ML workflow. The first relates to active learning -- collecting supplemental training data in a targeted fashion, to strengthen the model at its weakest points. The second is using human judgment at scale to offset lower-confidence model predictions, and ensure accurate labeling across the dataset to be classified. Obtaining human labels for low-confidence model predictions helps ensure prediction quality in the short term through direct labeling, and in the long term through incremental model improvement. In addition to discussing these strategies at the issue level, I will also demonstrate how they are implemented in our CrowdFlower AI product.NICK GAYLORD, CROWDFLOWER

14:30 – 15:30 The Enterprise Immune System: Using Machine Learning for Next-Generation Cyber DefenseFrom insiders to sophisticated external attackers, the reality of cyber security today is that the threat is already inside. A fundamentally new approach to cyber defense is needed to detect and investigate these threats that are already inside the network - before they turn into a full-blown crisis. Based on unsupervised machine learning and probabilistic mathematics developed by specialists from the University of Cambridge, new ‘immune system’ technologies are capable of learning the ‘self’ of an organization. By analyzing every network, device, and user, and modeling them as they go about their day-to-day activity, the Enterprise Immune System can establish a highly accurate understanding of normal behavior. It can therefore spot abnormal activity as it emerges, and even take precise, measured actions to automatically curb the threat. Rules and signatures are not keeping pace with today’s rapidly evolving cyber-attacks. The Enterprise Immune System represents a fundamental step-change in automated cyber defense, is relied upon by organizations around the world, and can cover up to millions of devices. In this session, learn:
• How new machine learning and mathematics are automating advanced cyber defense • Why 100% network visibility allows you to detect threats as they happen, or before they happen• How smart prioritization and visualization of threats allows for better resource allocation and lower risk • Real-world examples of unknown threats detected by ‘immune system’ technology

Depending on their activity, businesses face two major problems when sorting photos:- High processing and long delays costs when sorting is done by hand by the company- Reduced revenue or reduced user engagement when the end customers do the sorting themselves and give up in the middle of the processRegaind’s AI solves both issues: it automatically pinpoints the most important and/or most beautiful photos in a set.
