LITOMYŠL CASTLE

The oldest mention of the castle is in Kosmo’s Chronicle from the 12th century. The chronicler mentioned the castle in 951. First it was a woodencastle. After the Hussitewars, they build a new stone castle.

CASTLE EXPOSITION

Visitors can see big interiors. There are collections of empire furniture, pictures, and collections of meissen, viennese, and Berlin porcelain. On the first floor ther is a castle theatre.There is also a castle secret. In one picture there is a figure with a very strange animal. But the strangest thing is that there are five letters G painted above it. Nobody knows why. People say that the person, who will find out what it means, will find a treasure.
