RUMMAGE SALE WANTS YOUR STUFF Clean out your closets and donate to the Ho’ol-
aule’a Rummage Sale. Proceeds benefit KSM 10
year reunions. Donations accepted at any cam-
pus office from March 26 – April 12. Please send in
clean, gently used items. Men, Women & Chil-
dren’s clothing, Electronics, CD’s, DVD’s, Books,
Shoes, Household items and Toys. E kala mai, we
cannot accept any furniture, TVs or appliances.
Please place all donations in a large bag or box
and label “Rummage.”
COUNTRY STORE SEEKS
DONATIONS Country Store seeks donations of baked goods,
cut flowers, jellies/jam, homemade crafts, art,

ZERO WASTE AT HO’OLAULE’A Taylor Redman ’20, a member of Huliau Green Events (HGE) will be conducting her Senior Project
service at Hoʻolauleʻa ’18. Some of Taylor’s goals: Divert 75-95% of our waste from the landfill to be
completed or recycled & help educate the public to mālama ʻāina. Taylor will coordinate with the
planning team to order compostable items for our event. Taylor will also approach all of the food
truck vendors to consider purchasing compostable to-go wares for purchasers. Some of the services
HGE will provide: Set up manned Zero Waste Stations, Provide on-site coordinators to manage vol-
unteers, Provide signage for the event, Provide a post-event waste report including suggestions for
improvement for Hoʻolauleʻa 2019. Let’s do our part to support Taylor and her goals!

NEW BELL SCHEDULES BEGINNING NEXT YEAR KSM will implement new approaches that aim to improve the student experience at KSM. Kame-
hameha Maui is expanding the school day which will allow for increased curriculum time to better
prepare the students for post high college and career success. To implement this new approach
the Middle and High School campuses will have NEW bell schedules. The High School will start at
8:15 am and end at 3:20 pm Monday through Friday. The Middle School will start at 8:15 am and
end at 3:20 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Tuesday will begin at 8:15 am and
end at 2:30 pm. The Elementary School will remain the same, starting at 7:45 am and ending at 2:30

a minimum of 5 items donated at $40-50 per item. Donations are accepted at any campus office.
