What is Contact Cleaning

Contact cleaning is a reliable method of removing surface contaminationfrom flat and semiflat material in sheet, panel and roll form.

Cleaning panels and flexible sheets down to 50 microns.

How does Contact Cleaning work

The system consists of two main components these are:

Superblue™ Elastomer Rollers

These are formulated from chemicallystable elastomer material, the rollersconform to the contours and surfacevariations of the material being cleanedwithout applying surface pressure.

The elastomer roller will not cross-contaminate thesubstrate being cleaned.

Utilising surface tension properties all loose particles down to less than 1 micronwill be removed from the substrate.

Superclean Adhesive Rollers

KSM Superclean Adhesive Rollers are theresult of 15 years experience with globalhigh technology users of contact cleaning

systems, formulated byindependent specialists to

provide the perfectcontamination trap.

The adhesive onlyallows one waytransfer of particlesfrom the elastomerrollers to the

adhesive.

Adhesive roll cores aremade of plastic and the adhesive

is carried on a sealed carrier.

Why should we clean

Surface contamination can consist of dust,skin, hair, fibres from clothing and offcuts ofthe materials being processed.

This contamination may not be evident to thehuman eye but could result in the finishedproduct requiring rework or rejection.
