Dr. Caprotti introduces the thematic network JEM and its activities. The network social community blends the expertise of developers, authors and of mathematics teachers. WIRIS: tools and projects for math elearningMr. Eixarch presents the WIRIS suite of tools for doing mathematics online by Maths for More. Special attention is devoted to improving the virtual learning environment Moodle for teachers and students of mathematics with online calculations, formula editors and virtual laboratories.
Technology in Mathematics EducationDr. Seppälä will discuss proper use of technology to improve mathematics education in general and to make the delivery of education affordable. The introduction of calculators in high schools have had an adverse effect in mathematics education. What should be done now?
