Dear Rev. Fathers,

You are invited to the Catholic Education Conference, Singapore 2013.

Further to our letter dated 10 May 2013, allow us to provide you with more details.

The Archdiocesan Commission for Catholic Schools, together with the Conference Organizing Committee,

is holding its inaugural Catholic Education Conference on 13-14 September 2013 at Catholic Junior

College-Performing Arts Centre. This one and a half day conference will bear the theme “You are to be

my witnesses” and will include the annual Teachers’ Day mass. The Keynote Speaker is Bro Gerard

Rummery from Australia who is an internationally recognized figure in Catholic religious education.

The conference will focus on the essence of Catholic education in Singapore, its system, features and

ideals. Going to a more personal level, it will explore how Catholic educators, both in Catholic and non-

Catholic schools, can live out their vocation.

As we believe that this gathering will surely be enriched by your participation, we are extending this

invitation to you and members of your parish/community. We would appreciate your support by

circulating this invitation and encouraging attendance. The conference is intended to be inclusive in

order to gather different perspectives for improving Catholic schools in Singapore.
