IDES Data

The IDES system contains all the customizing func-

tions and relevant master data for the business

scenarios of the IDES corporate group. Because

IDES represents a living, breathing organization,

transaction data is also required. Documents are con-

tinually entered to generate a dataset that forms

the basis for many applications. These documentssupply the information systems with data so that

they can be demonstrated with consistent data

with user-friendly procurement instruments, and

special operations such as purchasing of consign-

ment and pipeline materials and payroll manage-

tions and how they are integrated with other corpo-

rate activities in Sales and Distribution, thanks

Production Planning in IDES does not merely

cover resources, bills of materials (BOMs), and rout-

ings. Diverse possibilities are also demonstrated for

planning and controlling production and manufac-

planning, and long-term planning. Configurable

materials and KANBAN are also illustrated.

Maintenance of production facilities is illustratedin IDES using the example of a water purification

plant, which is depicted as a hierarchy of technical

sites with installed equipment.

Maintenance schedules serve as the basis for exe-

cuting the required maintenance orders at regular

intervals.

In the event of unexpected problems, reports

are drawn up and repairs arranged for. In actual

practice, external service providers are often

contracted to carry out work of this kind. This

for service management begins with selling

a service object. A service contract stipulates the

object is planned and carried out by way of
