HS Friday Bulletin Oct 15

1 Dear Parents, Thank you to all parents who have requested parent conferences for either next Monday or Tuesday afternoon. In the HS we much prefer to pre-schedule these conferences so that teachers and parents know the schedule ahead of time and can prepare accordingly. Unfortunately not all parent requests can be accommodated during the conference times, as sometimes demand for conferences will exceed the supply of available time slots. If you are unable to see the teachers that you need to see during conferences, please contact the High School Office to arrange a mutually convenient alternative time. Next week is very busy, with the Parent Teacher Conferences at the front end of the week and our very own annual Filipiniana Festival at the end of the week. This is one of ISM’s longest standing traditions and it seems fitting that we make a special effort this year, our 90 th year. Please support Filipiniana this year with a kind donation, encouraging your child to wear a costume or a Philippine Cultural Club (PCC) Shirt. All proceeds and profit from Filipiniana go directly into the ISM Disaster Relief fund. This fund was used extensively last year during the floods associated with Typhoon Ondoy and also provided immediate assistance this year with the floods in Pakistan. I hope you have an informed parent conference, a fabulous Filipiniana and get to enjoy some rest and relaxation for the October break. Kind regards, Maraming salamat po.  William R.S. As with any event, the whole ISM community has theopportunity to get involved in this Middle School event. The most significant way for the ISM community to getinvolved is to provide housing for the visiting students. Most guests willarrive on November 18 th and will depart on either November 21 st or 22 nd . to

join

and

the

parade.
