I selected this song as one of my possible choices because Eminem and the other artist use a variety of techniques such as imagery to make it clear what they are trying to get across in the song. As there is so much graphic imagery making a Music video for this song shouldn’t be too hard. The song does not yet actually have a video so my ideas will be unique and original, however, having a music video already made might have helped a lot.

The song depicts a twisted and dysfunctional relationship with a surprising ending not seen often in “love songs” by Eminem (which usually end in the death of the female).

The song, like a lot of Eminem's previous works, is not very conventional to the Rap Genre, the whole song is not Rapped either as Skylar Grey is a contributing artist in he song, the song itself overall is more Alternative Rap. It does share a few conventions such as Violence

Ideas

Narrative: Storyline will relate to Song, but in the style of a loop.

Narrative: The main characters (a couple) will start off contemplating their relationship (almost ready to end it), by the end of the song, after looking back at their warped relationship they decide they will leave each other, but not on bad terms.

The video will consist of one main couple whose relationship will b focused on, however, the video star several other males and females who are also in bad relationships.

The video will be filmed both in a controlled environment and outside.

This male is the most positive in the whole song, he is an outsider and not involved with the other twos relationship thus his facial expressions and overall look should not convey stress. He needs to look relaxed.

The main person in the video will be the female. These are possible looks for her. There will be several different locations used for the video and therefore several different outfits and several different make up looks. The first looks covers what she will look like to the public and the second covers what she will be like at home.

Some of the video will be filmed on the school grounds (in a studio like setting), while others will bee filmed at various locations, such as a number of different houses and streets. Places like train stations will also be used.
