GRADE 2 & 3 STUDENTS DESIGN SLOGANS TO SIGNIFY THE IMPORTANCE OF “EARTH DAY”. Earth Day began on April 22, 1970 and has been an important day ever since. It is a time to come together and support environment’s protection against pollution and deforestation. By taking part in activities like picking up litter and planting trees, we are making our world a happier and healthier place to live. This year, Earth Day, April 22, 2018, is focused on ending plastic pollution. As part of the Earth Day, students of Grade 2 and 3 watched a video about saving water and energy, recylcling, in order to make the Earth a better place to live in. The students designed slogans on the same , depicting the importance of keeping the Earth clean and saving Mother Earth.

GRADE 2 & 3 STUDENTS DESIGN SLOGANS TO SIGNIFY THE

IMPORTANCE OF “EARTH DAY”.

Earth Day began on April 22, 1970 and has been an important day

ever since. It is a time to come together and support environment’s

protection against pollution and deforestation. By taking part in

activities like picking up litter and planting trees, we are making our

world a happier and healthier place to live.

This year, Earth Day, April 22, 2018, is focused on ending plastic

pollution.

As part of the Earth Day, students of Grade 2 and 3 watched a

Students of the environment committee conducted an awareness

programme about the importance of Earth Day during the school

assembly.

All the non essential lights were turned off from 8:45 am to 9:00am.

On Wednesday 25th of April, students of Grade 2 and 3 took a

pledge to “Save Our Earth” during the class assembly of Grade 3G

and 3H.
