Using the Hitachi Rail STS RSE Catalog Your Hitachi Rail STS USA (formerly known as Ansaldo STS USA) Railway Signaling Equipment (RSE) Catalog is designed to help you find complete technical and ordering information on every major wayside or carborne control system and stand-alone product. Each catalog cut gives concise design and application, detailed specifications, all major ordering part numbers (where applicable), and instructions on how best to place an order to achieve the fastest possible delivery. For any additional information required:

Call your Hitachi Rail STS USA Account Executive (see page 5)

Contact our Customer Service Center at 1-800-652-7276.

The complete RSE Catalog is also available electronically from our web site (sts.hitachirail.com) or electronic media from our Customer Service Center.

For ordering information on customized systems without standard part numbers, consult with your Hitachi Rail STS USA Account Executive.

Finding and Ordering Your System or Product

The RSE Catalog is organized according to major wayside and carborne systems, and individual products/components, many of which comprise these systems. Included within the major catalog categories are cuts on specialized tools and test equipment to service Hitachi Rail STS USA equipment. To locate an item:

1. Refer to the RSE Table of Contents (page i) for major system and product divisions.

2. Refer to the alpha-numeric identifier (e.g. RSE-4A1) for each catalog cut. These identifiers greatly simplify updates to the catalog; individual cuts are added or deleted without affecting the entire book.

3. Note the catalog cut revision date in both the Table of Contents and at the upper corner of each cut. As cuts are updated, the revision date is changed accordingly. Check the catalog cut of interest to make sure you have the latest information.

4. Also check the Table of Contents for new product entries as highlighted.

5. When you are ready to place an order, refer to the “Ordering Information” section of the catalog cut. This section gives important information on how best to select the system or product of interest.

6. Where applicable, go to the order (part) number tabulation on the cut to select the desired item. Make sure the descriptor/specifications of that order number are correct for your application. If you do not see the exact product specification needed, contact your Hitachi Rail STS USA (Account Executive or Customer Service) for possible substitutes or special order numbers not listed on the catalog cut.

Placing Your Order and Answers to Questions

To place your order by phone, call our toll-free Customer Service number 1-800-652-7276 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Feel free to ask our Order Entry person any questions about the order process, the type of part, or the status of any previous orders.

If engineering design is part of the order monthly progress payments will be required.

If you are responsible for any delay in shipment, the date of completion of goods may be treated by us as the date of shipment for purposes of payment. Completed goods shall be held at your cost and risk and we shall have the right to bill you for reasonable storage and insurance expenses.

If, in any such suit, an injunction is issued against the further use of said item or any part thereof, we will at our option and expense, either procure for you the right to continue using said item or will (if you give, at our expense, such assistance as may be reasonably requested) replace the same with non-infringing items or modify it so that it becomes non infringing or remove said item and refund the purchase price and the transportation and installation costs thereof.
