“LEARN, START, LEAD” WITH GTS 2015!In its 12th year, the Symposium will take place on April 1-3, 2015, at the Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, California. It is themed “Learn, Start, Lead” and focuses on the opportunities that innovation brings to education, and on the role of higher education in global innovation and investment. This event will bring together top investors, corporate leaders, promising entrepreneurs, education professionals, and policymakers.

GTS empowers the next generation of trendsetters and is pushing participants to challenge their comfort zones through a non-traditional, progressive structure. Education is a less nascent industry that grows rapidly, and the Symposium gives an opportunity to discuss such topics as nextgeneration learning platforms, the future of education, and the intersection of education, innovation, and investment.

The Symposium is honored to count many of Silicon Valley’s most legendary names among its alumni. Speakers in previous years include:

Venture capitalists such as Brook Byers, Patricia Cloherty, Reid Dennis, Tim Draper, Pitch Johnson, Dick Kramlich, Kate Mitchell, Don Valentine, and Ann Winblad.

Corporate leaders such as former Intel chairman and CEO Craig Barrett, former HP CEO Carly Fiorina, former VMware CEO Diane Greene, BP Capital founder T. Boone Pickens, and Cadence CEO Lip-Bu Tan.

Financiers such as Silicon Valley Bank Vice Chairman Harry Kellogg, JPMorgan Chase investment banking chairman Cristina Morgan and VTB Capital CEO Yuri Soloviev.

Management and technology gurus such as Vint Cerf, Esther Dyson, and Geoffrey Moore.

Policymakers such as White House CTO Aneesh Chopra, former U.S. senator Gary Hart, Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy Judith McHale, former Secretary of Defense William Perry, former Secretary of State George Shultz, and Russian Minister of Education and Science Andrei Fursenko.

“ Being on stage at GTS provided us with incredible feedback from the jury, seasoned investors and entrepreneurs that can really see if or where your business needs help. The prize we won in 2013 helped us confirm that MavenHut is building something innovative, something new, in a crowded market, hence making our company interesting both for developers to join and for investors to invest.”

– Bobby Voicu, CEO, MavenHut Winner, 2013 Global Innovator Competition
