Particles Analysis and Visualization• Goal
– To supply tools to facilitate the study the affects of turbulence on the trapping state and radial diffusion of particles. Outward radial diffusion is heat transport which is bad.
• Deployed 1.12.2• Querying based visualization
– Hardening integration of Fastbit into VisIt. Converters and indexing tools for GTC and XGC Data Readers – H5Part and HDUF
– Hardening of VisIt to supper Queries and Particles Interface for Persistent Particals
– Two remaining efforts Interface for query selection Cumulative queries

– Visualizing the magnetic field topology is necessary to the understanding how the plasma energy is deposited on the material wall. Energy (i.e. heat) on the wall is bad.

– Hardening of streamline code Ability to continue streamline integration Ability to add additional seeds
– Hardening of analysis code Adaptive streamline length Addition of more robust O point detection
– Integration of M3D C1 Elements Ability to visualize scalar/vector data Construct Poincaré plots.
