プリンシパルではいつも、スタッフにボランティア活動を推奨してい

ます。2008年12月6日、当社スタッフは地域社会へのお返しとして愛を広めるため、香港クリスチャン・サービスの深水埗中青少年総合サービスと協力して、低所得世帯の児童のためのプレ・クリスマス・パーティを主催しました。ゲームやティータイムなどさまざまな催しが行われる中、突然サンタクロースが訪ねてきて、子どもたちを驚かせました。満面の笑顔を浮かべた子どもたちは、1人ずつサンタさんからプレゼントをもらいました。パーティは、クリスマスの温もりと喜びに溢れたものとなり、ボランティアの人たちも子どもたちも、楽しい午後を過ごしました。

プリンシパル、「Earth Hour（アース・アワー）」キャンペーンで消灯

プリンシパルは、88カ国の約4,000の都市や町とともに、「世界は気候変動に対する断固とした行動を求めている」と視覚的に表明

する、WWFのキャンペーン「Earth Hour（アース・アワー）2009」に参加しました。2009年3月28日の午後8:30から9:30まで、香港を象徴する多くのビルとともに、プリンシパルの屋上看板は闇の中に消えました。

プリンシパルが「Earth Hour（アース・アワー）2009」を支援できたことは、とても光栄です。責任ある企業市民として、プリンシパルは、資源やエネルギーを効率的かつ慎重に使用することに積極的に取り組んでいます。プリンシパルがこの意義あるイベントに参加することで、当社が事業展開している地域社会にプラス効果を生みだし、市民の意識が高まることを期待しています。

「Earth Hour（アース・アワー）」は、2007年に1都市のキャンペーンとしてシドニーで始まった、WWFのイニシアチブです。この時は、2百万人を超える人々が1時間にわたり消灯しました。2008年、消灯キャンペーンは世界中に広がり、35カ国370都市で、5千万人以上が電気を消しました。「Earth Hour（アース・アワー）2009」は、世界がかつて見てきた中で最大級の社会運動と目されています。

M PFおよびORSOの適格加入者の口座に対する政府からの6,000ドルの資金注入に関し、適格加入者のほとんどは、既に書面に

よる通知を受け取っています。まだ受託者から書面による通知を受け取っていない適格加入者は、資金注入ホットライン（2926 6000）までお問い合わせください。

受給資格の見直し要求を希望する加入者は、資金注入ホットラインへ電話する、MPFAに書面を送る、あるいは、本人がMPFA觀塘事務所内の政府資金注入オフィス（住所: 25/F, Tower 1, Millennium City 1, 388 Kwun Tong Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon）に出向いて、見直し要求をすることができます。受付は、2009年9月30日までです。見直し要求には、身分を証明する書類、所得記録、およびその他の関連書類（例：香港IDカードのコピー、雇用契約書、MPF加入証明書、給与明細書、年次給付金明細表、住所証明など）を提出する必要があります。

MPFAは職員からならチームを構成し、見直し要求の検討に当たらせることにしています。見直し要求を依頼した人には、MPFAから書面で検討結果が通知されます。見直しに関するMPFAの決定に不服の場合、当該人物は、MPFAからの決定通知書が発行された日から3週間以内に上訴することができます。期限を超えた上訴請求は、いかなる場合も認められません。

すべての上訴は、MPFAの非常勤理事によって構成される「アピール（上訴）・パネル」がその任に当たり、議長はMPF諮問委員会の議長が務めます。アピール・パネルは、上訴人が提出した情報およびMPFAの調査結果すべてを考慮して、決定の見直しを行います。上訴人には、書面にて上訴結果が通知されます。アピール・パネルの決定は最終的なものとします。

また、既に資金を受給したものの、自分は受給適格者ではないと思う加入者は、速やかにMPFAにご連絡ください。

M PFおよびORSOの適格加入者の口座に対する政府からの6,000ドルの資金注入に関し、適格加入者のほとんどは、既に書面に

よる通知を受け取っています。まだ受託者から書面による通知を受け取っていない適格加入者は、資金注入ホットライン（2926 6000）までお問い合わせください。

受給資格の見直し要求を希望する加入者は、資金注入ホットラインへ電話する、MPFAに書面を送る、あるいは、本人がMPFA觀塘事務所内の政府資金注入オフィス（住所: 25/F, Tower 1, Millennium City 1, 388 Kwun Tong Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon）に出向いて、見直し要求をすることができます。受付は、2009年9月30日までです。見直し要求には、身分を証明する書類、所得記録、およびその他の関連書類（例：香港IDカードのコピー、雇用契約書、MPF加入証明書、給与明細書、年次給付金明細表、住所証明など）を提出する必要があります。

MPFAは職員からならチームを構成し、見直し要求の検討に当たらせることにしています。見直し要求を依頼した人には、MPFAから書面で検討結果が通知されます。見直しに関するMPFAの決定に不服の場合、当該人物は、MPFAからの決定通知書が発行された日から3週間以内に上訴することができます。期限を超えた上訴請求は、いかなる場合も認められません。

すべての上訴は、MPFAの非常勤理事によって構成される「アピール（上訴）・パネル」がその任に当たり、議長はMPF諮問委員会の議長が務めます。アピール・パネルは、上訴人が提出した情報およびMPFAの調査結果すべてを考慮して、決定の見直しを行います。上訴人には、書面にて上訴結果が通知されます。アピール・パネルの決定は最終的なものとします。

また、既に資金を受給したものの、自分は受給適格者ではないと思う加入者は、速やかにMPFAにご連絡ください。

The qualifying period in respect of a member may also be re-set to zero if the member (or his personal representative) effects a redemption, switching out or withdrawal of the units of the fund other than upon the occurrence of a qualifying event. For the avoidance of doubt, condition (f) does not apply to self-employed persons or preserved account holders.If a redemption, switching out or withdrawal of the units of the fund is effected other than the occurrence of a qualifying event as stated above, the guarantee will not apply. 本季，我們的香港股票投資組合及債券投資組合均領先指數，亞洲（日本除外）股票投資組合則表現落後指數。本季股市的低比重資產分配策略成效理想。

我們的行業分配定位是針對美國及環球經濟疲弱增長，目前信貸緊絀，樓價持續下滑，我們認為消費者未來仍會面對時艱。我們仍認為英國經濟是全球最差，而且預料頗長時間也未能扭轉頹勢。

Equity markets worldwide suffered sharp losses with weak economic data during the first quarter of 2009. The global recession deepened, leading to unprecedented coordinated monetary and fiscal intervention. However the various bailouts and guarantees that the US and European governments have given have caused the budget deficits in the regions to swell.

In the quarter, the MSCI World Index returned -11.9%, while the Barclays Global Aggregate Index returned -3.3%.

During the quarter, our Hong Kong equity and bond portfolios outperformed their indices, and Asian ex Japan equity underperformed its index. Our underweight position in equities contributed positively in asset allocation.

Our sector positioning is based on weak US and global growth. Consumer would continue to face strong headwinds in coming months with tight credit conditions and continued house price erosion. We continued to see no worse economy than that of UK, and do not anticipate a turn around for some time.
