Game NotesLast Time Out: Elmira erupted offensively against Fredo-nia State as the Soaring Eagles defeated the Blue Devils, 7-2. Andrew Ciampichini ’15 led the Soaring Eagles offen-sively with two goals and an assist while Sal Magliocco ’17 made 43 saves in net for the Purple and Gold. EC’s seven goals eclipses their previous season-high of four, which had been done three separate times this season.

Special Teams Seal The Win: In the 7-2 win against Fredo-nia State, Elmira went 2-for-5 on the power-play and went 5-of-6 on the penalty kill. To add to the two extra-man goals, EC also scored two shorthanded goals in the victory. This is the first time EC’s special teams have scored four goals since January 12th, 2013 when Elmira scored four power-play goals in a 9-4 win over Morrisville State.

Coach Aaron Saul ’98: With a win over Fredonia State, the sixth-year head coach at Elmira College has upped his career win total to 99, one win away from the 100-win mile-stone. 80 of Coach Saul’s career wins have occurred during his tenure with the Soaring Eagles.

Looking Ahead: Elmira will be back in action tomorrow, December 6th when the EC men take on Wesleyan Univer-sity at the First Area in Elmira, NY at 3:00 p.m.
