Detailed Report on the Amid the great concerns and expectations of the Kung fu sports the 4th National Kung fu & Taichi Championshipwas held at the Multipurpose Hall, K.D.Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow-U.P. From 06 Dec. 09 Dec. 2009 by Lucknow Kung fu association under the supervision of the Uttar Pradesh Kung Fu Association in the aegis of Kung fu Federation of India . This Championship is of great significance for marking the turning points in National kung fu movements and improving the cordial collaboration between the Kung Fu Players/ artists and the various state Kung Fu organizations the Nation over. The 4th National Kung fu & Taichi Championshipwas, followed by the 3 rd National Kung Fu Championship held in Maharashtra, showed the rapid growth and development of the sprits Kung Fu to the Uttar Pradesh with the attendance of 300 participants from 18 different State of country.

Detailed Report on the

Amid the great concerns and expectations of the Kung fu sports the 4th National Kung fu & Taichi Championshipwas held at the Multipurpose Hall, K.D.Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow-U.P. From 06 Dec. 09 Dec. 2009 by Lucknow Kung fu association under the supervision of the Uttar Pradesh Kung Fu Association in the aegis of Kung fu Federation of India . This Championship is of great significance for marking the turning points in National kung fu movements and improving the cordial collaboration between the Kung Fu Players/ artists and the various state Kung Fu organizations the Nation over.

The 4th National Kung fu & Taichi Championshipwas, followed by the 3rd National Kung Fu Championship held in Maharashtra, showed the rapid growth and development of the sprits Kung Fu to the Uttar Pradesh with the attendance of 300 participants from 18 different State of country.

Opening ceremony, attended over 300 players of different State Kung Fu associations including the athletes, coaches, umpires and officials. Mr Gome Thapa, Secretary of Assam Kung Fu Association and other Secretaries of the other State Kung fu associations were invited as the Guests of honor. The most highlighted view in the ceremony was the attendance of Secretary Sports U.P. Mr. Lalit Varma, IAS, that the Org. Committee could have the opportunity to impress upon the Kung Fu Federation of India with its true and real feature as the National integrated Kung Fu entity. The Opening Ceremony of the 4th National Kung Fu & Tai chi Championship was inaugurated at 4 o’clock on 07th December, 2009 at Multipurpose Hall, K.D. Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow-U.P. There was the March Past of the attendants State by State at English alphabetical order and followed the declaration of the opening of the 4th National Kung Fu & Tai chi Championship by Mr. Chief Guest Mr. Lalit Varma.. After his announcement, there was the Kindling of the torchlight with the flame which had been conveyed from Maharashtra by young kung fu player Master Dhammadeshna, among the enthusiastic cheers of the attendants. Displayed in the ceremony were the demonstrations of martial arts, weapons from Manipur Kung Fu Associations and Kung-Fu events from Assam Kung Fu Associations. The ceremony was closed by the beautiful performance of the Stone breaking and fire dancing’s on 6Pm.

The Technical Committee, Kung Fu Federation of India selected two panels of judges Sanda Binood Yadav- Maharashtra- Head Judge Ansar Khan- M.P., Gome Thapa-Assaam,Nihal Ahmad-U.P. Taolu. Gyan Prakash U.P. – Head Judge Milind Mokal-Maharashtra, Sandeep Sharam-U.P, Praveen Kumar – U.P., Ronel Singh- Manipur

Competitions of 5 groups and 35 sub categories began on the 7th th December 2009 at Arena -1, while Fight competition in Arena-2 at Multipurpose hall.

In this championship, the

competitions of the kung fu categories; Tao lu, sanda, light sanda , Tuei shu and Tai chi were conducted in 15 different divisions

Weight categories, patterns, sparring, fighting techniques, individual competitions under the rules of the Kung Fu Federation of India . All the athletes showed the thrilling and touching scenes with their high techniques and moralities through the tournaments

Closing ceremony & Kung Fu Demonstration

The Awarding Ceremony was taken place on the 09th December 2009 evening 5.00 PM. Mr. Nishith Rai The Chairman of Daly News Activists was the main attraction of the closing ceremony while Mr. Ram Pratap singh, Regional Sports office Lucknow was the guest of honor. The closing Ceremony of the 4th National Kung Fu & Tai chi Championship was started at 4 o’clock on 09th

December, 2009 at Multipurpose Hall, K.D. Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow-U.P.

There was the closing March Past of the attendants by State and followed the declaration of the closing of the 4th National Kung Fu & Tai chi Championship by Chief Guest Mr. Nishith Rai. After his announcement, there was the presentation of the torchlight with the flame transfer to Madhya Pradesh Kung fu association, among the enthusiastic cheers of the attendants for 5th

National Kung fu & Tai-chi Championship June 2010. Chief Guest presented Medals to winners while Mr R.P.Singh – RSO awarded Certificates to winners and players of the championships.

Maharashtra Team won third place along with10 Gold, 12 Silver and 17 Bronze, Uttar Pradesh Team won Second place along with10 Gold, 12 Silver and 17 Bronze while Manipur Team won first place along with10 Gold , 12 Silver and 17 Bronze. The ceremony was closed by the beautiful performance of the Stone breaking and culture program on 6Pm. 26 gold, 26silver and 26 bronze medals total 78 medals were presented to the winners.

During the Championship, several Kung Fu categories that have not been affiliated to the Kung Fu Federation of India , performed their demonstrations in order to introduce their Style.
