5. Project Title Static Strength Justification of center ceiling panel A380-800
Client Sogeti High-Tech, Germany (Hamburg)
Software used Hypermesh, MSC/Nastran, Patran, MS Word, and Excel
Responsibility Onsite coordinator
Brackets with DFEM were simulated with shell elements (CQUAD4 and less than 3% CTRIA3) and bar elements.
Fasteners are simulated with 1D element. Panel weight is simulated as mass at the cg (CONM2).
Panel area is simulated with rigid body elements (RBE2).
The weight of the other attachment to the panel (PSU and oxygen box as well as interface points) is simulated with respective mass.
Strength justification is done for Ultimate load, Decompression, windmilling and Emma load in accordance with JAR-25.
Critical RF for part, critical load case & critical location of the bracket were summarized.
Justification report is prepared for same.
Achievement: Was able to coordinate with offshore and showcase the capability to sogeti high-tech (hamburg) that offshore is possible.

Client Sogeti High-Tech, melun, France
Software used Hypermesh, MSC Nastran, MSC Patran, PCL, Samcef, Toscan MS word and MS Excel
Responsibility Team Lead
The Aerodynamic pressure, cavity pressure and temperature and inertia load are applied to the model.
In Samcef solver is used for calculation for transient loadings. The stresses induced in the transient loading are taken to the fatigue analysis to see that no crack is initiated at 25 000 cycles.
The next step would be to determine the crack propagation at 6500 cycles.
We used the in house tool called Toscane.
The detailed dossier is prepared which illustrated the zones of interest.
Achievement: Created the macro in PCL language for the convergence test of the hexahedral element thereby minimizing the time consumed for the life evaluation for each disque and flange.
