Tropicana’s claim may be “pure sunshine” but they are hard on their
floors. Tropicana tried many different flooring solutions that claimed to be
able to stand up to citric and other acids, thermal shock (steam cleaning)
and cool temperatures...problems experienced frequently by food
manufacturing companies.
Corro-Shield formulations provide high chemical resistance, can handle wide temperature variations including thermal shock (steam cleaning) and areU.S.D.A/C.I.F.A. compliant. When Tropicana switched from urethane solutionsto Corro-Shield’s epoxy alternatives they were pleasantly surprised by the floors ability to withstand abuse.
Tropicana uses a three product Corro-Shield system that consists of Corro-Cure LV FS, Corro-Flor and Corro-Cote.
