— Set the correct location, date and time on your phone.

Select your installation type

If your CoPilot Live software is supplied with a DVD, please go to step 1.1

Note: You can copy CoPilot Live from the supplied DVD or memory card, to your own memory card or your phone’s internal drive (certain phones only).

1.1 CoPilot Live installation disc

You will need:• CoPilot Live installation disc• Your own memory card* • USB cable supplied with your phone

— Insert a memory card into the memory card slot of your phone.

— Insert the supplied CoPilot Live installation disc into your PC’s disc drive.

— Select your required language, map region and phone type.

— Connect your phone to a PC using the synchronisation software and cable supplied with your phone.

— Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Important: If you are using an Android based phone, you must visit www.copilotlive.com/androidinstall/ using your phone’s Internet browser to download the CoPilot Live application.

— Once CoPilot Live has successfully installed on your phone, go to Step 2 – Starting up.

Installation

1.2 CoPilot Live memory card containing software and maps

You will need:• CoPilot Live memory card supplied*

— Insert the supplied CoPilot Live memory card into the card slot of your phone.

Important: If you are using an Android based phone, you must visit www.copilotlive.com/androidinstall/ using your phone’s Internet browser to download the CoPilot Live application.

— CoPilot Live should begin to install automatically to your phone.

— You may be asked to select a location for your installation. We recommend that you install it on your device.

— Once CoPilot Live has successfully installed on your phone, go to Step 2 – Starting up.

*Not required for phones with an internal drive or for phones without a memory card slot.

Starting up

— To launch CoPilot Live satellite navigation, select the CoPilot Live icon on your phone.

CoPilot Live can usually be found in one of the following folders on your phone:• Programs• Applications• Installations

The first time you launch CoPilot Live on your phone, you will be asked to choose your preferred language and voice.

Enter your Product Key

— You will be asked to enter a Product Key.

This can be found on the Product Key card that came with your CoPilot Live software.

Activation

— To activate your license, you will first need to create a CoPilot ID. To do this, simply enter an email address and password.

— The easiest way to activate your license is automatically using your phone’s mobile Internet connection.

Note: Automatic activation via the mobile Internet may incur data charges from your mobile network operator. If you are experiencing problems activating automatically, try activating your license on the CoPilot Live activation website at http://activate.alk.com

Visit www.copilotlive.com/userguide for more information on activating your CoPilot Live.

— Once your license has been successfully activated, you may be asked to select and confirm a map region.

Note: Once you have confirmed your map region, it cannot be changed.

What is a CoPilot ID?

A CoPilot ID is your personal CoPilot account identity, created when you first activate your CoPilot Live Product Key.

It lets you:• Get free downloads to useful CoPilot content• Shop for additional maps, voices, themes and much more at the CoPilot webstore• Access the latest updates for your CoPilot Live

First time setup

— Choose between Imperial and Metric for the unit of measurement used in maps and instructions.

— Review and accept the End User License Agreement for your CoPilot Live.

— Review and accept the Safety Warning for CoPilot Live.

You are now ready to begin navigating.

GPS

You may need to setup your GPS receiver** before you can begin navigating.

1. Built-in GPS receiver setup

If your phone has a built-in GPS receiver, CoPilot Live will automatically use this for navigation.

Note: CoPilot Live must recognise and be able to connect to your phone’s built-in GPS receiver to use it by default. You may need to try connecting to it manually if CoPilot Live cannot connect to it automatically.

To setup your built-in GPS receiver manually:

— Select Menu Settings GPS Setup GPS.

— Select Search for GPS connection.

— Once GPS setup is complete, select OK.

2. Bluetooth GPS receiver setup

If you are using a Bluetooth GPS receiver, you will first need to create a partnership between your Bluetooth GPS receiver and your phone. Here’s how:

— Switch on your Bluetooth receiver.

— Select Menu Settings GPS Setup GPS.

— Select Advanced Options and then Bluetooth as your GPS receiver type.

— Select your GPS receiver from the search results list to pair it with your phone.

Configuration initiale

— Choisissez l'unité de mesure qui sera appliquée aux cartes et aux instructions en sélectionnant Impérial ou Métrique.

— Lisez et acceptez l'Accord de Licence Utilisateur final de l'application CoPilot Live.

Avant de lancer la navigation, il vous faudra peut-être configurer votre récepteur GPS**.

1. Configuration du récepteur GPS intégré

Si votre téléphone comporte un récepteur GPS intégré, CoPilot Live l'utilisera automatiquement pour la navigation.

Remarque: pour utiliser par défaut le GPS intégré de votre téléphone, CoPilot Live doit pouvoir le reconnaître et s'y connecter. Si CoPilot Live ne parvient pas à se connecter automatiquement, vous devrez peut-être effectuer cette opération manuellement.

Pour configurer manuellement votre récepteur GPS intégré:

— Sélectionnez Menu Paramètres GPS Configuration GPS.

— Sélectionnez Rechercher une connexion GPS.

— Une fois la configuration de votre GPS terminée, sélectionnez OK.

2. Configuration du récepteur GPS Bluetooth

Si vous utilisez un récepteur GPS Bluetooth, vous devrez d'abord créer une association entre votre récepteur GPS Bluetooth et votre téléphone. Pour ce faire, vous devez:

— démarrer votre récepteur Bluetooth.

— sélectionner Menu Paramètres GPS Configuration GPS.

2. Configurazione del ricevitore GPS Bluetooth

Se si utilizza un ricevitore GPS Bluetooth, occorre prima creare un'associazione tra il ricevitore GPS Bluetooth e il telefono. Seguire questa procedura:

1. Een ingebouwde GPS- ontvanger instellen

Als uw telefoon een ingebouwde GPS-ontvanger heeft, maakt CoPilot Live daar automatisch gebruik van voor de navigatie.

Opmerking: CoPilot Live moet de ingebouwde GPS van uw telefoon kunnen herkennen en er verbinding mee maken om er standaard gebruik van te maken. Mogelijk moet u handmatig een verbinding tot stand brengen als CoPilot Live niet automatisch verbinding kan maken.

De ingebouwde GPS-ontvanger handmatig instellen:

2. Een Bluetooth GPS- ontvanger instellen

Als u een Bluetooth GPS-ontvanger gebruikt, dient u eerst een koppeling tussen uw Bluetooth GPS-ontvanger en uw telefoon tot stand te brengen. Dit doet u als volgt:

— Zet uw Bluetooth-ontvanger aan.

— Selecteer Menu Instellingen GPS GPS instellen.

Du skal muligvis konfigurere GPS**-modtageren, inden du kan begynde at navigere.

1. Konfiguration af den indbyggede GPS-modtager

Hvis din telefon har en indbygget GPS- modtager, anvender CoPilot Live den automatisk til navigation.

Bemærk: CoPilot Live skal genkende og være i stand til at oprette forbindelse til telefonens indbyggede GPS-modtager for at kunne bruge den som standard. Du skal muligvis oprette forbindelsen manuelt, hvis CoPilot Live ikke kan oprette forbindelse automatisk.

Sådan konfigurerer du den indbyggede GPS-modtager manuelt:

— Vælg Menu Indstillinger GPS Konfigurer GPS.

— Vælg Søg efter GPS-forbindelse.

— Når konfigurationen af GPS er fuldført, skal du vælge OK.

2. Konfiguration af Bluetooth GPS-modtager

Hvis du anvender en Bluetooth GPS-modtager, skal du først oprette et partnerskab mellem din Bluetooth GPS-modtager og din telefon. Sådan gør du:

— Tænd for Bluetooth-modtageren.

— Vælg Menu Indstillinger GPS Konfigurer GPS.

— Vælg Avancerede indstillinger og derefter Bluetooth som GPS-modtagertype.

— Vælg din GPS-modtager fra listen med søgeresultater for at parre den med din telefon.
