Australian Rollforming manufactures a number of critical components that are used in the construction of rail coal wagons. Manufactured in Australian Rollforming’s factory in Dandenong Australia, these sections comprise of side sills, cant rails, stiffeners, hopper supports, transverse stiffeners and chute stiffeners. Rollformed from 3.5mm and 5.0mm thick 5CR12 grade stainless steel, these components are produced to exacting tolerances, requiring a very high degree of specialised technical expertise and experience. With component lengths ranging up to 12.6 metres for the side sills and 13.4 metres for the cant rails, straightness and consistency of shape are critical manufacturing criteria.
