PARISH NEWS

A FEW THANK YOU’S

We want to thank Gene Anderson and Lorne House for laying the Wreath at our Remembrance Day Service last Sunday. We want to thank the Hospitality Crew that worked at last week’s Synod as elevator operators, parking lot attendants and hosts and assisted in serving lunch. Thank you to the Kitchen Crew for all their work in preparing and serving the food and drinks for over 300 people that day. Thank you to everyone who has been volunteering to come in and help out with the cleaning of the church over the last few weeks. All of your time and efforts are greatly appreciated!

VESTRY MEETING The regular monthly meeting of the Vestry of Parish Church will be held on Tuesday, November 15th at 7pm in the Lounge.

SAVE THE DATE – THE PARISH GOES UNPLUGGED On Friday evening, November 25, 6:30-8:30pm, our Mission Within Committee will be hosting a Games Night in the Lounge. We would love for everyone to come and join us for a fun evening as we unplug all our “devices” and enjoy an evening of games and snacks, with a little laughter thrown in. Feel free to bring your favourite board or card game or just take your chances with whatever games show up. It would be helpful for the organizers if you could sign up at the Charlotte St. entrance. See you there. .

WHITE GIFT 2016

WHITE GIFT for 2016 is almost ready to go. The White Gift tree will be at the Charlotte

Street entrance next Sunday, November 20th. We appreciate your generous support

of this Outreach in the past and trust you will take time to check out the tags on the

tree next Sunday. A brief reminder of how to participate:

Write your name and telephone number and the number of the tag you selected on

the sign-up sheet on the desk.

exchanged)

Wrap the gift in tissue paper OR place it in a gift bag (be sure to include the gift

receipt) AND securely attach the White Gift tag to the package.
