Word of the Week

LECTOR - A person designated to proclaim the Holy Scriptures at Mass. The reading of the Gospel is reserved to priests and deacons.

Dear Parishioners: By now everyone has heard that St. Anthony’s St. Joseph Altar has been cancelled.

I want to first thank Ms. Edna Rojas, her family and friends who have given us a beautiful altar for the last five years. They have been incredible! Regrettably, we had an unintentional schedule conflict with the hall, making it impossible for Ms. Edna and her team to complete their work in time. For this I want to personally apologize to Ms. Edna and her team for this process failure. This oversight has resulted in process improvements that will ensure this never happens again.

Ms. Edna has graciously agreed to act as “consultant” if needed to help whomever takes on the challenge in the future.

St. Pius X will host their annual altar this year

I have met with Ms. Edna to discuss this matter and I want to assure everyone that this oversight should not be interpreted as anything other than a miscommunication and scheduling conflict. Again, thanks to Ms. Edna and her team for all they do and will continue to do for St. Anthony Parish.

Sincerely Yours in Christ, Fr. Luke Nguyen
