    PARISH NEWS

New Website Saint Joseph Parish has a new website. Our Parish URL address is saintjosephmedway.org Online donation settings remain the same. You will not need to take any action if you are already making your donations to the Parish online.

Parish Collaborative Suspended Cardinal Sean has decided to suspend the formal establishment of a collaborative between Saint Joseph Parish and Saint Thomas Parish. The Cardinal has asked Fr. Sinisa Ubiparipovic to serve as the Pastor of Saint Thomas but to resign as Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish. Subsequently, the Cardinal has asked Fr. Linus Mendis to remain as Administrator of Saint Joseph Parish. This took effect on December 17, 2020. The Cardinal’s decision comes after receiving much input including that from parishioners from Medway and Millis as well as archdiocesan staff who met with parish leadership and parish staffs over recent weeks. Both Fr. Mendis and Fr. Ubiparipovic will work with the office of Pastoral Planning to prepare the parishes to reestablish the collaborative at some date in the future. Thanks to council members, parishioners, and staffs of both parishes for the patience, support and prayers these past weeks.

Saint Vincent de Paul, January 10, 2021 Your gifts to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul help those among us who are poor and suffering to find God. John the Baptist proclaimed: “One mightier than I is coming after me. I am not worthy to stoop and loosen the thongs of his sandals. I have baptized you with water; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” Jesus came from Nazareth and was baptized in the Jordan by John. On coming up out of the water he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon him. And a voice came from the heavens, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” Consider responding to the Lord’s call to Baptismal service by helping those in need.

Is there a family you know who needs assistance? Please call the Society of St. Vincent de Paul so that together we may help.
