the scenarioa mobile operator with a mixed 2g (tdm), 3g (atm) ran and a legacy backhaul network (tdm, sdh/pdh, atm) was looking to migrate the backhaul to a packet switched network (metro ethernet/ ip/mpls).

the Challengethe operator wanted to converge 2g and 3g traffic into a unified ethernet or mpls traffic flow, while fully leveraging existing legacy infrastructure.

Celtro’s solutionCeltro dynamate enables the design of a hybrid backhaul architecture wherein data services are offloaded onto “best effort” data transport solutions based on access (ip dslam) and aggregation (metro ethernet) networks. the scenarioa 2g mobile operator wanted to provide data services with wimax (802.11e), using the backhaul network to transport these services from bts to bsC/asn-gw.

the Challengethe provider was seeking to unify transmission over the same backhaul network, converging tdm (2g) and ethernet (wimax) into a unified traffic flow (mpls) with differentiated Qos (e-lsp) and proper synchronization.
