Brief Note
· The Ministry of Housing and Urban Povly Alleviation, Government of India has launched. Rajiv
Awaas Yojana (RAY) and Pradhana Mantri Yojana (PMAY) in the Month of June-2011 and June-
2015 respectively. Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation Ltd. (RGHCL) has been appointed as a
State Level Monitoring Agency to impj'e~ent the Rajiv Awaas Yojana (RAY) and Pradhana
Mantri Yojana (PMAY) Schemes in thr State.The RGHCL is implementing this Scheme by
dov~t~iling with State schemes· viz. Vajp~yee Urban Housing. Scheme(for General Category) and
Dr. B.R. Amebedkar Nivas Yojane (for SC/ST) Under this Scheme there are 4 verticals l.e·.,
1. ·Beneficiary-led individual house construction or enhancement2. Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) ·3. In-situ" Slum .Redevelopment usi1 gland as Resource4. Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme
·The RGHCL ls releasing subsidy forl& 2 vertica.ls. Under 1st vertical the company is releasing the
subsidy component~ directly to the benkficiaries acc~unts based on GPS progress. In case of 2nd- I .vertical (Affordable Housing in Partnership) subsidy is being released to implementing agencies
like Deputy Commissioner/ULB's account& Karnataka State Development Board. The Audit
worksare provided as follows; I . ·1. Audit of Books of Accounts in respect of all implementing agencies in the District.
2. Preparation of audit report along with UC from concerned Implementing agencies.
3. Physical inspection covering followi·ng area;
• 5 selected (BLC)Houses per municipality in the district.
• All AHP projects in the district.
4. Certificate on use of funds for which the gr?nts are.released.
5. Certificate on use of funds fo which the ULB'S grants and Beneficiaries contribution
are released.
6. Certificate of occupation of beneficiaries.
