Brown Marmorated Stink Bug and Potential Look-Alikes Found in Minnesota Brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) is native to Asia, and was accidentally introduced to North America. BMSB is an agricultural pest, feeding on over 300 plant species, including plants found in home gardens and landscapes. Brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) is native to Asia, and was accidentally introduced to North America. BMSB is an agricultural pest, feeding on over 300 plant species, including plants found in home gardens and landscapes. Anterolateral pronotal margins (shoulders) are smooth, not roughened or toothed.

Abdominal segments protrude from beneath wings, revealing light and dark banded pattern.

Rounded humeri (shoulder tips).

Light-colored banding at base of antennal segment 5, and apex and base of segment 4.
