Baguio City is a popular study place as proven since many Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese and other people around the world gather and learn things. The city has a polluted population of students from home and abroad wherein they take 2-6 years just to have a diploma for work purposes. There are 14 universities in Baguio and Benguet having the famous and prestigious University of the Philippines and one of the center of excellence called the Saint Louis University. Baguio City is a city of change. It is not the usual city that is noisy. The nature alone is a good description for visitors to have a tour. Natives of Baguio are very friendly especially to foreigners in a way that we can live in the place as our own. Baguio is a busy place but it is properly maintained and cared with the help of the city government and the cities own people. As a matter of fact, Baguio has several national awards and local awards that give more challenge and excitement to the people to work harder and to strive better.

2 Curriculum Every student can choose their own curriculum. And we fulliy support all student. The school supports the goal of every student by giving them plenty of choice of the program they want. We do not force a student to learn the things that he/ she doesn’t like or doesn’t need. We are here for you. Correction notes We commit mistakes a lot of times and that is the reality of life and in learning but in order to refrain and to avoid those mistakes, our correction notes system was created for the students to remember mistakes and learn from mistake. Knowing own weaknesses is also important thing when studying. Commonly, the grammar and the pronunciation are being checked in the said note so that it would be remembered and not to be done again. Official Score or Level Test Analysis Analysis about the student’s growth is being checked with the monthly level test to analyze the student’s weaknesses and strength for the student and for the teacher to be aware of the things that is needed to be improved in the class after. Free Learning Style We have various students from junior to senior, they have their own way of learning so BECI. We respect all student’s choices and ways. That is why the Free-Spirit of Learning is applied. Some age groups want to study with their friends but some also prefer to stay on their desk and study alone. They learn by their own speed thinking of the limited time that they have. Since freedom applies during their review period, foreigners like to study and volunteer to travel abroad.

BECI’s TEAM LEADERs system is operating with one teacher - ten students, caring while counseling of life, livelihood or bachelor and through team work activity, we are ready to make students unite. And students can communicate with teachers outside the class also. This special system is only in BECI English Academy. EOP System English Only Policy is applied for maximize speaking-practice to students. With this EOP system, student can make themselves in perfect situation of speaking in English for even ordinary life, not only in class room. But sounds stressful or difficult? No problem! Our special EOP should be done from 8AM-7PM only.

3 Consultation

Entrance consultation All student must take on a consultation before all class starts. Our educational counsultant will guide you what to study and how to study based on result of entrance exam.

This is the time when every student will have his/her man-to-man class with the subject selections such as speaking, writing, grammar, listening, reading, words and idioms, pronunciation, and discussion.

Regular consultation Every 4weeks, we have monthly level test. Every after level test, we provide all student regular consultation. Students can study under educational well-support.

It is great opportunity to see the beauty of the Philippines, to meet other people and to have something to talk about something by using English. It is usually done every two months depending on the date that everyone is available. Example of the outside programs was when they had their Japanese and Korean soul-food introduction and cooking demonstration in the nearby town wherein I am sure that everybody had good time learning, listening and eating. One more experience was when they attended the seminar about the environment and organic planting. It was the time of seeing some plants while learning the things that is good about them. People of Baguio and Benguet has lots of vegetable, fruit and flower plantations or nature since it is one of the sources of living of the people here due to wide and fertile land areas.

Safe and secured! Live under the blue sky! BECI is lucky to be located in Green Valley because of its clean and green environment. When it comes to the building alone, we can experience how good it is. The place has two clean and well-arranged living rooms down the school area and for the student’s convenience; there is a dormitory for them to have some rest without going too far from the said school. It is a way for students to make their life a little bit enjoyable and not tiring. As we enter from the main door, we will be amazed of the beautiful arrangement in a way that we can sit on a soft sofa and have our things on top of the well-furnished tables. BECI is not only a school of learning. It is also a school of enjoyment. They can watch their favorite TV shows during their free time. If they like to play, the bowling area, basketball court, swimming pool and other sports area are enough for us to say WOW!. Staying at the school compound is so relaxing. Safety is always in the mind of the management. They cooperate with the police stations for a 24-hour security. If an incident occurs, surely the nearest police station will come to a rescue. BECI stands tall to say, “We at BECI are always okay.” Everything is there so we feel like we are at our own home. Reminders on Pick-‐up When there are more than 3 students arrival in Manila within a period of 5 Hours, BECI staff will pick up the students with a van. If each student’s arrival schedule is far different , a Filipino will meet the student at the Airport, accompany to a bus staEon and escort the student to ride a bus. Once the student arrives at the terminal. A Japanese staff will pick up the student.

School InformaEon and Rules •  Laundry Fee ( 10 kg./4 weeks) will be free. The Excess parts need to be paid by a student. ( Php 28/kg) •  There is no age limitaEons of students. However the school might not accept students in certain circumstances. ( for

example: 1. The student with a child who is below 5 years old. The child does not like to be taken care by a Filipina sider 2. A student has a chronic disease 3. A student is advised by a doctor not to travel and stay abroad for a long

Eme of period. •  When a student gets absent from classes because of sickness, Injury or travel, the school does not refund the tuiEon.

When a student cancels the program in the middle of study in our school, the school will follow the refund rule. •  When a student gets absent from classes without a proper reason, the school will give the student a penalty ( if a

student gets absent from a class three Emes within 4 weeks , 1 class in the following week will be cancelled as a penalty.)

•  A student can go out afer class on weekdays. There is a curfew at 10 pm from Sunday to Thursday.

•  A student cannot drink and smoke inside the room. In case the management finds out a penalty will be applied. ( if the offense is severe, dormitory deposit Php 3,000 will be confiscated, classes will be cancelled for 1 week, or dismissal will be warned. •  A male student is not allowed to stay overnight in a female student’s room and vise versa, unless they applied for the

school as a couple / husband/ wife beforehand. If the violaEon is found out, the school will make the students leave the school with immediate effect.

•  When a student violated the school rule, the school will NOT refund anything. The same measure will be applied to a

student who has to leave the school because of severe offense. •  When a student loses a key of the room, the school will change the doorknob for security reason. In this case, the

student needs to pay Php 1,500 for the repair, key copy and labors.

Change course rules


If the student wants to change the course aPer the class has already started Example: Lite Course to SPEED ESL, a student needs to pay the difference of tuituion fee

SPEED ESL to Lite Course, if the remaining period of study is more than 8 weeks, The school will refund 60 % of the tuiEon.

-‐If the remaining period of study is more than 4 weeks but less than 8 weeks, the school will refund 50 % of the tuiEon

-‐In the case only below 4 weeks remains, No tuiEon will be refunded. •  DayEme Classes are open from Monday to Friday. Night classes are open from Monday to Thursday. (No night class on FRI) •  The tuiEon is computed basically by 4 weeks of study. In other duraEon of study, the school will apply certain computaEon. ( in case

of 1 week, 35% of the 4 weeks tuiEon will be applied. In case of 2 weeks, 60% of the 4 weeks tuiEon will be applied. In case of 3 weeks, 85% of the 4 weeks’ tuiEon will be applied

Classes •  The school guarantees minimum 18 days classes per 4 weeks, if the minimum 18 days classes are not provided, the school will

transfer the one on one class. •  The school guarantees minimum 18 days classes per 4 weeks. If the minimum days cannot be fulfilled, the school will provide transfer

classes only for one on one classes, Group classes can NOT be transferred. (if the transfer classes cannot be provided due to Eght schedule, the school will refund Php 1,000/ day)

•  Business Course a student can choose this business course even afer their arrival at the school. Example: if a student enrolls in SPEED ESL course and the students wants to change one on one classes to business course, the student needs to pay addiEonal Php 4,000. the course design will be the following: ESL one on one class(3 Hours/ day) Business one on one class (1 Hour/ day) ESL Group class (2 Hours/day)

•  In case a student wants to cancel more than 3 weeks before the start of the study, the whole tuiEon EXCEPT admission fee will be refunded.

•  In case a student wants to cancel within 3 weeks before the start of the study, the whole tuiEon EXCEPT admission fee and 10 % of fine for breach of contract will be refunded.

•  In case of a student wants to cancel within 1 week before the start of study, the whole tuiEon EXCEPT admission fee and 30% of fine for breach of contract will be refunded.

•  When a student wants to cancel study in the school because of personal reasons, and there are more than 8 weeks of remaining period of study, the 60% of the tuiEon EXCEPT registraEon fee will be refunded.

•  When a student wants to cancel study in the school because of personal reasons, and there are more than 5 weeks but less than 8 weeks of remaining period of study, the 50 % of the tuiEon EXCEPT registraEon fee will be refunded.

•  When a student wants to cancel study in the school because of personal reasons, and there are less than 4 weeks lef, no refund will be back.

*Any bank transacEon fee should be shouldered by a student.( refund will be done through bank transfer.)
