There are 150 million plastic water bottles sold each day.
Only 25% are recycled. The rest ends up as litter or landfill.

Plastic bottle waste is increasing at an alarming rate:
it tripled since 1995.

The water we don’t need. Non-carbonated bottled water is the fastest growing segment of the U.S. beverage market.
An estimated 25 percent doesn’t even come from any well or source, but from municipal water supplies.

Deadly plastic. Marine trash, mainly plastic, is killing more than a million seabirds and 100.000 mammals and sea turtles each year according to the United Nations.
Plastic bottle tops are often found in the stomachs of dead sea lions, dolphins, sea turtles and others.

It takes so much oil to produce a water bottle. And four times as much water as it contains.

Oil that has to be extracted, shipped by tankers, refined, transported again and so on…

Fresh thinking.Public tap water is healthy, safe and monitored. It’s fresh, compared to bottled water (that was stored) in warehouses, trucks and stores.

Most adults lose about 10 cups of water every day through normal body functions incl. perspiration and breathing. To keep our bodies working properly, we need to replace the water that we lose.

Refill your plastic bottle? Better not. Bacteria grow easily on its mouth and the only way to prevent this is by cleaning the bottle with hot soapy water and dry thoroughly between uses. Ever seen anyone doing this? Our stainless steel bottles are machine washable.
