Film Language 1 Fundamental components of film production, the shots and edits Explore film texts and languages
Principles of Storytelling Identify and utilise various tools to construct and deconstruct stories through various mediums
Understanding Experimental Film Learn about research methods Conduct an experiment into filmmaking practice
Film Language 2 Explore concepts in the language of film Theories of realism, structuralism and spectatorship
The Film Industries Explore filmmaking as a process of manufacturing World cinema markets, such as Nollywood and Bollywood
Creative Collaboration Effective collaboration through exercises and workshops Explore and examine how creative people work together

Film Story Structures Recognise the skills & techniques used to create effective storytelling in film

Placement
Either 4 weeks
• A minimum of 4 weeks (placement is optional)

• 104-120 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 2 A-levels of equivalent. BTEC Extended Diploma DMM
