About the Project: Demolition of four storey office block in Soho to permit re-construction of new Base2stay hotel.Deconstruct were contracted to demolish an existing four storyoffice block down to basement level and excavate for newconstruction including underpinning existing pavement vaults.Part of this package included a structural cut and carve phase ofworks in the adjoining St Annes Court buildings, including theremoval of stair cores and recording studios within the basementdemise.Asbestos was also removed from various areas within thestructures following the survey process. 3. Project Challenges:Noise and vibration had to be taken into consideration in residential and commercialenvironments nearby.Traffic management was put in place to ensure all pedestrian safety was managed.These works were immediately adjoining a significant cross rail street works package.Several party wall reliances were to be discovered and managed throughout the programmedworks. 4.
