My survey was answered mostly by woman aged between 17 – 21. 50% of the people asked said that R&B, hip-hop or anything was the gender of music they were into, with pop rock and alternative as a close 2nd. Beyonce, The black eyed peas and Leona Lewis were the favourite artists or band. 88% of the people asked said they enjoy going to gigs, concretes and festivals. When asked what magazine they would read the most popular answer was NME which surprised me as I was originally going for a more street/urban look. 50% look for free pictures/posters indicating a more imaged based issue and 45% looked for well known artists featured on magazines when making their choice. The people I asked have very expensive taste, choosing to go out clubbing a dancing on a night out or go out for drinks or a meal.

Based on this information I’m going to design my magazine in a street, urban looking style with nights out and clubbing are the main focus. Creating a high profile, social cover and content.
