Everyone is invited to the social hall after the Sunday Masses for coffee, doughnuts, and conversation. The Social Justice Ministry hosts

September 1, the Faith Formation Board September 8.

S.H.A.R.E., our weekly women’s faith sharing and Bible study group, will start meeting again at noon, Wednesday, September 4, in the

social hall. We will read Matthew 10-20, On the Road with Jesus, by Kevin Perotta. Any woman, anytime, is welcome to join us. You may bring a lunch. Everyone is invited to our monthly noon Mass and potluck. This month it is on Thursday, September 5. A half hour Mass is followed by a potluck in the social hall.

All women of the parish are invited to meet for lunch at The Old European restaurant in Pullman the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am. Tuesday, Sept 3.

NURSERY SERVICE is available during 11 am Mass in June, July & August. It is downstairs in the St. Augustine room. Our nursery is for children under 5

Children’s Faith Formation Classes for preschool through sixth grade begin Sunday, September 15. Please register before that date. Be sure to complete the emergency medical form and read or take a copy of the handbook. It is filled with new information . Catechists needed: Are you ready for a great experience? Can you tell stories? Do you work well with others; particularly children? Need an excuse to pray? Available Sunday mornings? If you answered yes to one or more, you can be a catechist. Catholic Daughters please note the first meeting of the year has been changed to Tuesday, September 10, at 7 pm. That will allow some prep time for the Oktoberfest on September 14. All Catholic women are invited to join us for fellowship and serving the parish and community.

RCIA (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) begins Wed, Sept 18, 6:30-8 pm, in the Holy Family Room. It is designed for non-Catholics and allows seekers to examine the Catholic Faith more closely. Each fall we have sessions exploring Catholic teachings, and discovering what it means to be a Catholic Christian. Discussions about our worship, traditions, structure and beliefs are included. Some come to this class only to gain more understanding of the Catholic religion. Others come intending to become a member. LGBT Catholic Outreach Group holds a potluck on the first Saturday of the month immediately after the 4:30 pm Mass (September 7). All are welcome!

Reception for Guatemala Nawal Estereo personnel: Sunday, September 22, between the Masses in the social hall. Lourdes Tzoc, Director, and Sr. Mary Bertrand, SSND, Advisor to the Board of Directors, will give a presentation about the history and current operation of the radio station. Sacred Heart Parish supports this radio station broadcast to the residents in the Highlands of Solola, which provides religious and educational support. Nawal Estereo serves an essential role for the impoverished people of northern Guatemala.
