Why do we have a “Greening the Mail” Task Force?

Sustainability -- Meeting needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.

Sustainability now means the capability of an organization to anticipate and meet future risks and market conditions.

Important to initiate fact-based discussion on mail and the environment

Social Risk – “Do Not Mail” Business risk -- Mailers, Sarbanes-Oxley Regulatory climate – New administration in

January, impending greenhouse gas regulation.
