The Saadabad Palace is a palace built by the Pahlavi dynasty of Iran in the Shemiran area of Tehran. The complex was first inhabited by Qajar monarchs and royal family in the 19th century. After an expansion of the compounds, Reza Shah lived there in the 1920s. And his son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi moved there in the 1970s.After the Iranian Revolution, the complex became a museum. However, the current presidential palace is located adjacent to the Sa'd Abad compound.

The Green Palace is the first palace built in the complex during Pahlavi dynasty by Reza Shah's order. The building is called green palace because of the color of its facade. Green Palace is built during six years (1922 to 1928) in Reya Shah period, by Jafar Kashani. The palace is covered with three different stone: 1) Isfahan green stone; 2) Khamseh Yanjan in middle; 3) Italian stone for columns

The Green Palace is a very nice museum of Persian arts like mirror marquetry, carpets, and illumination and plaster work. It was served as Mohammad Reza's private palace where some private meetings were held before the Islamic Revolution.
